About The Position

Allied Interior Solutions/Square Cabinetry is a company that supplies turnkey countertops for multi-family units across the US, leveraging over 90 years of combined experience in the cabinet and countertop industries. The company prides itself on a specialized group of dedicated employees who prioritize attention to detail and high quality. They are currently seeking an Estimator for their DeSoto, TX facility. The Estimator will be responsible for creating cost quotes for cabinets and miscellaneous parts required to complete individual units or entire projects, ensuring correct quantities are priced according to the AIS standard catalog.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• 2+ years of estimating experience
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience working with bid deadlines and high-volume workload
• Excellent interpersonal & customer service skills, highly motivated, team player
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED equivalent
• Estimating experience in cabinetry, millwork, or stone

Responsibilities

• Review architectural plans, bid documents, and specifications to determine project scope
• Perform detailed takeoffs for: Cabinets (kitchen, bath, custom millwork)
• Perform detailed takeoffs for: Countertops (stone, quartz, solid surface)
• Perform detailed takeoffs for: Accessories, hardware, and specialty items
• Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates and proposals within deadlines
• Identify missing or unclear information and communicate with Sales for clarification
• Maintain and update estimating logs, pricing databases, and Smartsheet tracking tools
• Reading and understanding plan sets, RFIs, and ASI to properly adjust pricing when needed
