Overview We have an immediate need for an Estimator or Sr. Estimator to join the Design & Construction Team. The client for this project is the NYS Office of General Services (OGS) in the Comstock, NY Come join our team! Requirements

Shall possess, at a minimum, four (4) years of experience respectively, in cost estimating, including the cost preparation/review of architectural, mechanical, electrical systems/components of building construction projects, along with the review/negotiation of cost proposals.
Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, or associates degree with 2 years of construction estimating experience
Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
Experience with construction estimating software - i.e. Means CostWorks
Shall possess, at a minimum, six (6) years of experience respectively, in cost estimating, including the cost preparation/review of architectural, mechanical, electrical systems/components of building construction projects, along with the review/negotiation of cost proposals.
Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field with two (2) years of construction estimating experience, OR associates degree with four (4) years of construction estimating experience

Responsibilities

Act as liaison between contractors, field personnel, client, executive staff and contract management on issues and complex matters
Review of orders on contract for contract/procedural compliance
Manage all orders on contract for projects within the Division of Construction - Region 5
Estimate and negotiate orders on contract with contractors in accordance with the contract-
Assist with the review of project claims when requested
Develop cost estimates for project teams
