ESTIMATOR INTERMEDIATE Under the supervision of the Sales Director, the incumbent will be responsible for providing price estimates, product details, technical information and technical assistance, as well as supporting the sales team. More specifically, the incumbent will have the following responsibilities

Requirements

  • 5 years' experience in civil engineering and infrastructure
  • Experience in the construction industry with contractors
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Proficiency in reading plans and specifications, identifying required products and estimating quantities.
  • Strong communication skills are essential
  • Customer-oriented, problem-solving approach
  • Team player and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in both spoken and written French and English
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite and web tools

Nice To Haves

  • College diploma in civil engineering an asset

Responsibilities

  • Perform price estimation based on information provided by customers or obtained from tender documents and contract specifications on Armtec products and services.
  • Assist customers in determining their product requirements.
  • Communicate technical and sales information to customers.
  • Follow up on quotations, receive and prepare orders with full pricing details and customer information for entry
  • Provide sales team with details of customer requests that may require follow-up.
  • Assist in the preparation of standardized drawings, documentation and presentations.
  • Research projects using various systems used for public tenders.
  • Work closely with engineering and operations and collaborate with external project managers, sales and customer service teams.
  • Promote and enhance a productive and supportive work environment in compliance with health and safety laws and regulations and Armtec's culture of commitment and responsibility.
