About The Position

The Estimator generates estimates and new business opportunities within assigned markets. Essential Functions include generating and developing quotes, analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare quotes/estimates, computing various cost factors, and preparing budgets and schedules for work. The role ensures all estimates meet or exceed company and customer’s expectations, as well as regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Estimator develops beneficial business relationships with vendors, subcontractors, clients, and INDOT personnel, and performs day-to-day estimating tasks such as setting up jobs in job costing, generating purchase orders and subcontractor agreements, reviewing billings, preparing change orders, and job cost reports. The position also involves communicating with internal/external customers, answering inquiries, providing customer service, making presentations, and translating technical information into easily understood language. Promoting and maintaining a safe work environment and exhibiting safe work behaviors, including wearing prescribed PPE, are also key responsibilities. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned, including continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction management or related field
  • 3+ years in Heavy Highway/Civil/Asphalt Paving/Bridge construction or related field preferred
