About The Position

Arconic is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Estimator II to join the Kawneer team in Springdale, Arkansas, supporting the U.S. Building & Construction Systems (BCS) division. Reporting to the Order Pursuit Supervisor, the Estimator II develops competitive pricing and estimates for storefronts, curtain walls, doors, and windows. The role supports construction projects by translating customer and architectural requirements into estimates and solutions, while providing exceptional customer service and collaborating with internal teams, clients, and sales representatives. This is a full-time, exempt position performed in person in a professional office environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, and travel is not required. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility verification is required at hire, and visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited educational institution.
2–5 years of experience in the construction industry, such as estimating, drafting, or project management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work professionally in a team environment and office setting.
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Excel.
Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility verification is required at hire, and visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice To Haves

Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
5–10 years of work experience in the construction or architectural industry.
5–10 years of cost-estimating experience.
Previous experience providing cost estimates for curtain wall or window wall products.
Experience using JD Edwards and/or KaluCAD.
Ability to visualize design concepts from architectural plans.
Experience negotiating.
Ability to calculate engineering loads on single and double window spans.

Responsibilities

Prepare project and construction-plan cost estimates using customer-supplied lists, customer elevations, and architectural plans.
Provide exceptional customer service to Kawneer clients.
Consult with internal teams, clients, sales representatives, and other individuals to develop estimates and resolve issues, including quote follow-ups, order changes, product-related issues, and customer claims.
Serve as a point of contact for phone inquiries, responding to and assisting customers without frequently forwarding calls to other front-end employees.
