About The Position

Obtains, calculates and compiles data for use in conceptual/bid proposal estimates, preparing routine estimates under general supervision. This role is responsible for ensuring that all quantity surveys and pricing are accurate and complete, and provides support for the development of bidding strategies by debriefing the salesperson of job elements. The Estimator I leads the documentation management of the project, ensures all documents are complete and clearly conveys decisions made to sales and operations teams. They attend pre-bid meetings to discuss project specifics and scope, participate in bid closings and estimate reviews, and balance workload and assignments to meet deadlines. Additionally, this role develops a value analysis study by defining alternatives to the proposed scope that are more cost-efficient and manages action items from Post Bid and finalizes ISEC scope. The Estimator I computes cost estimates for materials, purchased equipment, subcontracted work, production activities and requirements, and labor. The role also requires strong customer service skills, demonstrating commitment to deliver outstanding service, taking ownership to personally resolve customer problems, listening well, asking clarifying questions, and checking for agreement with customers. They are committed to following-up with customers in all instances in a timely manner, possess a strong sense of accountability, create a personal connection with customers, and maintain a positive attitude. Requirements

  • 0 – 4 years of experience
  • Bids are accurate and profitable
  • Basic knowledge of ISEC products, services, processes and projects
  • Understands project plans and specifications
  • Independently performance most assignments with instruction
