Requirements
- 3+ years of construction materials testing and observation experience
- Ability to read and comprehend plans and specifications
- Experience in preparing bid estimates/proposals for materials testing and special inspections projects
- High school diploma or equivalent, BS in Civil Engineering preferred
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving history
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Comfortable with MS Office
- American Concrete Institute (ACI), Field Testing Technician Grade I
- ICC Certification in Reinforce Concrete or Masonry
- Reinforced Concrete
- Masonry
Nice To Haves
- UDOT, ACI, WAQTC, NICET Level III, and/or ICC certifications in: Field Testing, Soils / Aggregate Testing, Asphalt Concrete Testing, Masonry Testing, Fireproofing
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze structural plans
- Prepare construction materials proposals and bid estimates
- Form relationships with clients and identify new opportunities
- Track and log opportunities across multiple databases
- Receive communications from clients and respond promptly and professionally
- Perform routine to complex inspections and testing of construction materials in the field
- Assist with training, supervising, and mentoring staff
