Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a construction estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and labor costs.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on plans, specifications, and vendor quotes.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and related documents to understand project requirements and scope.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and clarify project details.
Develop and maintain a database of costs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors to support estimation accuracy.
Conduct risk analysis to identify potential cost overruns and suggest cost-saving measures.
Review bids and proposals from subcontractors and suppliers for accuracy and feasibility.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and provide input on project feasibility and budget considerations.
