About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects, with a focus on ground-up builds and tenant fit-outs (TI). The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment. #LAT

Requirements

3–7+ years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor
Proven experience with ground-up and tenant fit-out projects
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating, or similar)
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial construction projects
Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
Develop budgets for ground-up and tenant improvement (TI) projects
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors
Identify potential cost risks and value engineering opportunities
Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and clients during preconstruction
Assist in bid preparation, proposal development, and scope clarification
Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and historical cost data
Participate in project handoff meetings to operations teams
