About The Position

Wagner is looking for an Estimator to join our team and play a key role in winning and launching projects. In this role, you’ll take projects from initial bid through post-award, working closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to develop accurate, competitive estimates. Requirements

• 3–5+ years of estimating experience (construction, fabrication, or related industry)
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings
• Strong understanding of materials such as aluminum and steel
• Experience with tools like Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Excel, or similar estimating software
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines independently
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for a variety of project types (budgetary, public bids, GMP, etc.)
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to define scope, materials, and labor
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for pricing and availability
• Identify risks, clarify scope gaps, and provide value engineering options
• Track project changes (RFIs, revisions, bulletins) and update estimates accordingly
• Submit bids and maintain accurate project documentation
• Support project teams post-award with pricing, change orders, and kickoff activities
