We are seeking an Estimating Student, for our Solar District that is available for 4-16 months starting September 2026. As an Estimating Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team.

Requirements

• Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment
• Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.

Nice To Haves

• prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Understands and utilizes PCL’s estimating manuals, systems and forms
• Reviews quantity survey assignment with lead estimator or Chief Estimator
• Performs assigned quantity survey
• Gives quantities of major purchase items to purchasing department for pricing
• Transfers quantities to lead estimator
• Performs general subtrade solicitation duties
• Bids document control
• Performs bid day assignments
• Develops relationships with subcontractors
• Other duties as assigned by the Chief Estimator

Benefits

• The estimated hourly range for this role is $21.37- $31.34, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
