About The Position

Highland Roofing is seeking a Commercial Roofing Estimating Manager to lead and develop its estimating team and drive consistency, accuracy, and continuous improvement across the organization. The role may be based in any of the company's offices in Charlotte, Raleigh/Garner, or Wilmington. It is suited to an experienced commercial roofing estimator ready to lead a team, an estimating manager from another construction trade, or a senior project manager moving into a leadership position. Regular travel to Highland Roofing locations is required to build relationships and support team development.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of commercial roofing estimating experience or at least 8 years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Previous leadership, management, or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of construction estimating principles.
• Experience with construction estimating software.
• Proven ability to coach and develop employees.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Commercial roofing estimating experience.
• Experience with The EDGE estimating software.
• Process improvement experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop estimators across multiple locations.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings, training, and performance coaching.
• Manage bid schedules, workload distribution, and estimating workflow.
• Improve estimating processes, standards, and best practices.
• Lead bid reviews and strengthen risk management practices.
• Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and completed on time.
• Partner with sales, operations, and senior leadership to support company growth.
• Travel regularly to Highland Roofing locations to build relationships and support team development.
