About The Position

Rycon Construction is an employee-owned company (ESOP) that provides construction management, general contracting, and design- build services nationwide. An ENR Top 400 Contractor, ENR Top 100 Green Contractor, and BD+C Top 150 Contractor with nine offices, Rycon specializes in new construction, renovations, and adaptive reuse projects. We have an in-house Architectural Woodwork & Specialty Fabrication Division that ships/installs nationally. We are seeking a n Estimating Coordinator at our Fort Myers office. Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) year recent office experience. (Construction experience preferred, but not )
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast paced , high-volume environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent telephone and written skills
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Cordial disposition with a team attitude

Responsibilities

  • High volume of phone calls to subcontractors and vendors, tracking responses
  • Participate in Preconstruction Team meetings to analyze each project and the appropriate strategies
  • Work directly with Director of Preconstruction on managing bid calendar
  • Participate in Bid Progress Review meetings with Estimating Department
  • Perform tasks delegated by Director of Preconstruction
  • Assist in reviewing project requirements & documents to determine deliverables
  • Assist in creating bid solicitations and sending out RFP’s to subs and vendors
  • Issue notice of award/not award to subcontractor list
  • Manages Subcontractor/Vendor Coverage Tracking Sheet in Server
  • Assist in assembling Bid Documents & P roposa ls
