Estimating Coordinator

About The Position

This Estimator will have touchpoints across many aspects of the estimation process, allowing for excellent growth trajectory and professional knowledge gain. You will be heavily engaged in several duties, and interact with PM team members, vendors, sub-contractors, etc.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills
Ability to work with internal teams, vendors, and sub-contractors
Proficiency in performing take-offs and quantifying materials
Experience in contacting subcontractors and vendors for proposals and quotes
Familiarity with W/MBE businesses
Ability to prioritize projects
Skill in downloading drawing sets and creating budget structures
Experience in maintaining pricing databases
Ability to maintain and update Master Sub Contractor lists
Experience working with Project Management teams
Familiarity with Procore software

Responsibilities

Communicate with new and existing clients to obtain necessary information to create construction estimates
Oversee and guide internal estimating team on processes and tasks required to complete the estimating lifecycle
Perform take-offs and quantify all the finishes like flooring, plumbing & lighting fixtures, siding material, glazing, all interior/exterior doors, etc.
Contact Sub Contractors and vendors and obtain proposals and quotes from them
Identify and communicate with W/MBE businesses as required by project type
Take the initiative to communicate with our internal team to prioritize projects for estimation
Download drawing sets, perform the take-offs, create a budget structure, and export it for final review with your supervisor
Maintain the pricing database with up-to-date vendor and contractor pricing
Maintain Master Sub Contractor list, updating as necessary with latest information
Work closely with Project Management team to make sure all the drawings and documents in Procore are accurate and updated
