About The Position

RecruitGo is seeking an Estimating Assistant to support the Senior Estimator by preparing accurate and timely quotations for customers in the construction and fit-out industry. This role is responsible for producing live and tender quotations, preparing schedules, sourcing products, and responding to customer enquiries while maintaining a maximum 12-hour turnaround time. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, strong communication skills, and a customer-focused approach.

Requirements

• Previous experience in architectural ironmongery or a related construction/building products industry.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable learning new systems.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Customer service-oriented with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.

Nice To Haves

• Product sourcing and negotiation skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and send accurate live and tender quotations within required turnaround times.
• Create and maintain schedules using the company's scheduling system.
• Respond promptly to customer enquiries and requests for additional information.
• Source products and coordinate sample requests for customers.
• Assist with negotiations to achieve competitive pricing where appropriate.
• Ensure quotations are accurate, complete, and aligned with customer requirements.
• Work closely with the Senior Estimator and internal teams to deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain accurate records of quotations, schedules, and customer communications.
• Uphold the values of urgency, reliability, quality, and solution-oriented service in all daily activities.
• Work with the internal team to ensure timely delivery of services to clients and ensure that client expectations are met.
