About The Position

The Estimating and Service Sales Manager is responsible for driving production and service division revenue through proactive sales efforts, accurate estimating, and effective sales to project management handoffs. This role bridges the gap between estimators, sales team, surveyors, customers, service technicians, project managers, and company leadership to ensure profitable growth, exceptional customer experience, and operational efficiency. The position requires strong technical roofing knowledge, sales capability, estimating accuracy, and leadership skills.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of low-slope roofing systems (EPDM, TPO, PVC, BUR, Modified Bitumen) and commercial roof repairs.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and close service work.
  • High proficiency in estimating tools, CRM systems, and digital workflows.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial roofing service, estimating, sales, or project management.
  • 5+ years' industry knowledge and experience.
  • 2-3+ years' experience managing a small to mid-sized team.
  • 2+ years' experience working in a Leadership capacity.

  • Previous leadership experience overseeing service technicians or sales teams.
  • Experience with commercial roof asset management software.

Responsibilities

  • Generate leads, build long-term customer relationships, and expand the service portfolio with building owners, property managers, contractors, and facility teams.
  • Conduct site visits, roof inspections, and assessments to identify service needs and create solution-based proposals.
  • Prepare and present service agreements, repair scopes, maintenance programs, and budgetary planning recommendations.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales targets while maintaining healthy profit margins.
  • Create and manage a sales pipeline using CRM tools; track follow-ups, proposals, and closing ratios.
  • Perform detailed Surveys (takeoffs), cost analysis, and repair/maintenance estimates based on field assessments, photographs, core cuts, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Develop accurate proposals including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, safety requirements, and general conditions.
  • Collaborate with service technicians and production teams to validate scopes and ensure feasibility.
  • Maintain updated pricing databases and manufacturer resources to ensure competitive and accurate estimating.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic customers throughout the service lifecycle.
  • Provide ongoing communication before, during, and after projects to maintain strong client satisfaction.
  • Facilitate and coordinate escalations, resolve service issues, and adjust scopes with Service Department Manager and Superintendent.
  • Promote preventative maintenance programs and long-term roof asset management strategies.
