About The Position
A well-established and growing electrical contractor is seeking a proven leader to join its Preconstruction team in a highly visible role supporting strategic growth across commercial and healthcare projects. This position will partner closely with executive leadership and oversee a talented team of estimators responsible for some of the region's most complex projects. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who enjoys mentoring people, improving processes, and helping drive the overall success of the preconstruction function.
Requirements
- Leadership experience within estimating, preconstruction, project management, or operations
- Commercial electrical construction experience or significant experience supporting healthcare-related construction projects
- Strong understanding of estimating principles, bid strategy, and project execution
- Experience developing teams and building strong internal relationships
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Accubid and Trimble products
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills

- Large-scale commercial construction projects
- Process improvement, SOP development, and team-building initiatives
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of estimators and preconstruction professionals
- Review estimates, proposals, bid strategies, and project risk assessments
- Support workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, and employee development efforts within the department
- Collaborate with operations, project management, and executive leadership teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Drive process improvements, consistency, and best practices across estimating and preconstruction activities
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and strategic planning discussions
- Help position the organization for continued growth and operational excellence
