About The Position

At Soho House, the Cowshed Esthetician is an experienced, dynamic individual who possesses a real passion and pride in their work. This role is an influential beauty, fitness, and wellness leader responsible for providing high-quality services and elevated experiences to members and guests. The esthetician will provide consistent professional treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices, evaluate a customer’s skin condition and offer recommendations for treatments, and perform facials, waxing, and body services that meet established guidelines and fulfill member expectations. The role also involves assessing contraindications of guests that may prevent service from taking place, upholding the fundamentals of sanitation and sterilization, performing prep work and properly cleaning and restocking rooms, communicating any occurrences involving staff or guests to management, and handling guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously, providing accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to ensure complete guest satisfaction.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
Valid Illinois State License
Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety measures
Strong communication and people skills, business savvy and technology efficient
Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and holiday’s (when applicable)
Excellent time management
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced and demanding environment

Responsibilities

Provide consistent professional treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices
Evaluate a customer’s skin condition and offer recommendations for treatments
Performs facials, waxing, and body services that meet the established guidelines for the type of service offering and that fulfill member expectations
Assesses contraindications of guest that may prevent service from taking place
Uphold the fundamentals of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures
Perform prep work and properly clean and restock room as required
Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention
Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously
Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by members and guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction
