Requirements

  • Current California Esthetician License required.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience performing facial treatments and skincare services.
  • Strong knowledge of skin physiology, contraindications, treatment techniques, and product applications.
  • Experience recommending retail skincare products and conducting guest consultations.
  • Outstanding guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain professional, adaptable, and composed in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development in esthetics and skincare.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Performing repetitive hand and arm movements while delivering treatments.
  • Frequently bending, reaching, twisting, grasping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Safely lifting and carrying supplies and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Working with skincare products, essential oils, creams, and aromatic treatments.
  • Communicating effectively with guests and team members in person and by phone.
  • Operating esthetic equipment requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
  • Occasionally working in various resort locations, including indoor and outdoor settings, as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • Dermaplane and Hydrafacial certifications preferred
  • Understanding of essential oils and their therapeutic applications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform customized facials, body treatments, waxing, makeup applications, and specialty spa services.
  • Recommend skincare products and home care regimens tailored to each guest's needs.
  • Maintain treatment rooms to the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and sanitation.
  • Follow all spa treatment protocols, safety procedures, and Bloodborne Pathogen standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and use professional products responsibly and efficiently.
  • Educate guests on skincare and wellness while promoting spa retail offerings.
  • Ensure appointments begin and end on schedule while delivering a relaxing, luxury experience.
  • Assist with laundry, locker rooms, waiting areas, and other spa operations as needed.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and create positive service recoveries.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of spa services, products, promotions, and operating procedures.
  • Support the spa team and assist with additional duties as assigned.
