About the role Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Esthetician to join our wellness-focused team in Barrington, IL. This part-time opportunity (5 hours per week) is ideal for a licensed professional who is passionate about helping clients feel confident, cared for, and refreshed while delivering high‑quality esthetic services in a supportive healthcare environment. We are currently looking for evening availability. Responsible for scheduling and confirming appointments, waxing and facial services, maintaining a professional attitude while observing sanitation and safety practices.

Requirements

• License through State Board of Cosmetology or Esthetician license through the state of Illinois.
• Adult CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of hire.
• Understand skin techniques.
• Up to date with the latest products, techniques, and trends.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Technician must be motivated and be able to work independently as well as with others.
• Possess a professional appearance and a professional attitude.
• Must be on time for work and have flexible schedule to work with our clients need.

Responsibilities

• Provide reliable and dependable facials and wax services to address needs of each customer.
• Active member of an integrated team and support department wide events as well as being willing to deliver skin care treatments at these events.
• Identify and consult on diseases and disorders of the skin, as well as safety procedures and techniques for performing these services.
• Disinfect, sanitize, and sterilize tools and equipment.
• Schedule and Confirm appointments.
• Performing nail, hand, and foot services while observing safety practices.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.
