About The Position

This is an independent contractor opportunity for a Kansas-licensed solo or small-firm estate planning attorney. The program partners with attorneys across Kansas, handling client acquisition and back-office support, allowing attorneys to focus on legal work while growing their practice. The role involves providing estate planning consultations, drafting and reviewing documents, conducting virtual or in-office signings, maintaining professional communication, and utilizing standardized systems. The ideal candidate is licensed in Kansas, focuses on estate planning, has experience with various estate planning tools, possesses strong client communication skills, and is comfortable with technology and remote consultations.

Requirements

  • Licensed attorney in good standing with the Kansas Supreme Court, focusing primarily on estate planning
  • Solo or small-firm practitioner looking to grow, stabilize, or diversify their Kansas client flow
  • Experience advising clients on wills, trusts, POAs, beneficiary designations, and probate/estate administration issues in Kansas
  • Strong client communication skills; able to explain complex planning concepts in clear, accessible terms
  • Comfortable working with technology, standardized processes, and remote consultations when appropriate

Responsibilities

  • Provide estate planning consultations to Kansas-based, pre-qualified clients
  • Draft and review estate planning documents (wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, and related documents) consistent with program standards and Kansas law
  • Conduct virtual or in-office signings and oversee proper execution and notarization under Kansas requirements
  • Maintain professional communication and timely turnaround on all client matters
  • Utilize standardized systems, templates, and workflows while integrating them into existing practice operations
