About The Position

SourcePro Search is conducting a search for an experienced attorney for a prominent law firm specializing in Elder Law and Estate Planning to join one of their offices in Nassau or Suffolk County, New York. This is a full-time, in-office position. Solid work-life balance with no billable hours (flat fee basis).

Requirements

Expertise in elder law, estate planning, and administration.
Profound knowledge of New York State Bar and Medicaid requirements.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the legal industry, with a focus on elder law and estate planning.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Extensive familiarity with Medicaid eligibility and application processes.
Proven track record in estate administration.
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to interpret complex laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide expert legal counsel to clients, guiding them through estate planning complexities to safeguard and manage their assets.
Offer comprehensive legal advice in the areas of elder law, estate planning, and administration.
Draft and review legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and other estate planning instruments.
Represent clients in probate and estate administration proceedings.
Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations pertinent to elder law and estate planning for individuals and businesses.
Assist clients in understanding and navigating Medicaid eligibility and application processes.
Collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal staff while managing individual caseloads.
Stay informed about the latest legal developments and changes in elder law, estate planning, and Medicaid rules.
Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, delivering regular updates and exceptional customer service.
