Espresso Barista
About The Position
Prepare and serve food and beverages safely and accurately according to local, state, and departmental guidelines. This role involves taking orders, preparing and serving beverages, operating the cash register, and providing excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The barista will also coach and train part-time temporary baristas, communicate product and staff concerns to leadership, maintain clean workspaces, observe proper food safety, and assist in monthly inventory counts. Ensuring the café presents a welcoming appearance with neatly displayed merchandise and maintained stock levels is also a key responsibility. Providing relevant beverage and food recommendations to positively and proactively engage with customers is expected.
