eSports Supervisor/Coach
About The Position
St. Andrew's Parish Parks & Playground Commission is seeking an enthusiastic eSports Supervisor/Coach to lead youth participants ages 9–15 in a fun, team-focused competitive gaming program. This role involves coaching players in popular games, promoting teamwork, communication, leadership, and good sportsmanship. The supervisor will organize practices, supervise participants during competitions, assist with technical issues, and foster a safe and inclusive environment for learning and success. This is a seasonal evening position, typically Monday through Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, during the Fall (September–December) and Spring (March–May) seasons.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess strong gaming knowledge.
- Possess PC troubleshooting skills.
- Be dependable, organized, and an effective communicator.
- Obtain and maintain CPR/AED/First Aid certifications.
- Obtain and maintain Darkness to Light – Stewards of Children certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with youth or coaching.
Responsibilities
- Coach players in popular games such as Valorant, Overwatch 2, Rocket League, Apex Legends, and Fortnite.
- Promote teamwork, communication, leadership, and good sportsmanship.
- Organize practices.
- Supervise participants during competitions.
- Help troubleshoot technical issues.
- Create a safe, inclusive environment where every player has the opportunity to learn and succeed.
Benefits
- Pay is $15.00 - $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
