About The Position

This position travels through an assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders and new business. The representative will prepare sales contracts and interface with customers on location or by phone. This role takes a leading role with contract negotiations, closing the sale and developing marketing plans for contract accounts. The position also involves the safe and competent operation of a route vehicle, including maintenance and cleanliness. The representative will coordinate and lead sales meetings, ensuring all Admiral Beverage brands and packages are rotated on a "first-in, first-out" basis according to supplier requirements. They will establish good customer rapport through professional selling approaches and properly account for all cash/credit proceeds, products removed from inventories, lighted signs, and other company assets. New business will be solicited by conducting business reviews, demonstrating products and services, using samples, marketing resources, and emphasizing salable features and benefits. The role includes arranging products according to plan, placing price and descriptive signs, and transferring product from customer stock rooms to floor displays to comply with "Sell By" dates and maximize in-store product while minimizing stock room inventory. Product will be ordered for assigned accounts to prevent out-of-stock conditions. The representative will originate display ideas or follow suggestions from the Sales Manager and construct or assemble display aids from provided Point of Sale materials. They will estimate and coordinate product delivery and empty shell pickups based on company schedules. The role requires preparing reports of business transactions and keeping expense accounts, as well as wearing and utilizing appropriate company safety equipment. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor.

  • Places price and descriptive signs on backdrop, fixtures, merchandise, or floor.
  • Transfers product from customer stock room to floor displays to comply with "Sell By" dates, maximize product, in store and minimize product in stock room.
  • Orders product for assigned accounts in accordance with established procedures to ensure no-out of stocks conditions.
  • Originates display ideas or follows suggestions or schedule of Sales Manager.
  • Constructs or assembles display aids from company provided Point of Sale (POS) materials.
  • Estimates and coordinates date of product delivery and empty shell pickups, based on knowledge of own company’s, production and delivery schedules.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
  • Wears and utilizes appropriate company safety equipment.
