The ELL Course Facilitator for the Adult Education Program provides high-quality English language instruction to adult learners. The position supports the development of reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills that prepare students for postsecondary education, workforce training, career advancement, and civic engagement. Instructors must be able to teach English language learners across a range of proficiency levels, from beginning literacy through high intermediate, while aligning instruction with the Massachusetts English Language Proficiency Standards for Adult Education (MA ELPS). Instruction should reflect a student-centered approach and incorporate differentiated teaching strategies, culturally responsive practices, integrated education and career pathways, and meaningful technology integration to support diverse learner needs and goals. The ELL Course Facilitator collaborates closely with the Adult Education leadership team and program staff to promote student persistence, educational achievement, successful transitions, and continuous program improvement.
