This role involves utilizing extreme attention to detail to monitor the complex Extended Shelf Life (ESL) system, ensuring all critical values are met and adjusting as needed (steam pressures, water flows, instrumentation, etc.). The operator will process fluid products at high temperatures in a hygienic and tightly controlled environment, preparing them for packaging. This includes using recipes to accurately blend raw materials in batch tanks before processing, pulling product samples for accuracy testing, and operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting CIP systems, COP systems, and sterilization activities of the processing equipment. The role also requires cleaning equipment and maintaining a sanitary work environment, cleaning, sterilizing, and operating ESL/UHT and associated equipment (including homogenizers, tanks, CIP system, sterile air system, sterile lines, and valves), and reassembling equipment after cleaning, ensuring it is safe and sterile. Adherence to food safety and quality by following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and complying with all safety regulations and guidelines is crucial. Daily production data and regulatory information must be accurately recorded and verified to be within established control limits for proper operation. The position also involves maintaining a sterile environment by performing advanced repairs, preventative maintenance, and major mechanical adjustments as needed, along with other assigned duties.
