ESL INSTRUCTOR - IELP -Applied Language Learning (ALL)
About The Position
Brock University is seeking an ESL Instructor for the Applied Language Learning (ALL) program within the PCS - ESL SERVICES department. This is a part-time position for a fixed term from July 6, 2026, to August 12, 2026. The role involves teaching assigned courses, preparing course materials, evaluating student work, and participating in departmental activities and meetings. Requirements
- Bachelor degree and TESL Certificate with a supervised practicum.
- Master’s level qualifications in related areas – e.g. Applied Linguistics, English, Languages – shall also be taken into account.
- Post-secondary teaching experience, especially in ESL/EFL, and particularly overseas, is very desirable.
Responsibilities
- Teaching all courses as assigned in the scheduled period of instruction.
- Preparing course syllabus and lesson plans, ensuring alignment with course and program learning outcomes.
- Marking and evaluation of in-class work and record keeping.
- Attending pre-sessional instructor orientation sessions, as well as post session grade review meeting.
- Communicating effectively and professionally with colleagues and staff.
- Attending departmental meetings.
- Participating in events such as closing ceremonies and orientation.
- Contributing to a positive work environment.
