About The Position

The Escrow & Cash Processing Specialist 1 is responsible for performing day-to-day duties within the servicing department. Provide professional service to our members, partners, and co-workers. Proactively uphold MMS’s Mission Statement. May assist in the areas indicated listed below.

Requirements

Equivalent to a high school education.
No experience necessary.
Must successfully demonstrate a high level of professionalism while working with coworkers and customers.
Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to successfully maintain confidentiality.
Strong customer service skills.
Problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Understanding of financial transactions.
Capacity to adapt to changing priorities and needs.
Ability to collaborate with coworkers and other departments.

Responsibilities

Process member payments and post to the appropriate accounts.
Research and provide responses to payment questions or issues.
Assumes responsibility for paying of escrow: private mortgage insurance (PMI), county property taxes, hazard insurance, and flood insurance.
Assist members with the PMI cancellation process
Verifying borrower-paid taxes and insurance.
Impounding for escrow and force placing insurance where needed.
Process mortgage releases.
Assist as needed with annual escrow analysis.
Responsible for providing excellent customer service via the phone, email, and web messaging.
Processes verifications and payoffs as requested.
Perform other special projects and assignments as required or assigned.
