About The Position

This is a 5-month contract-to-hire opportunity for an Escrow Assistant in Roseville, CA. The role supports ongoing business needs within the real estate transaction process. The ideal candidate will utilize their experience in real estate transactions to assist with various escrow duties.

Requirements

2-3 years of Escrow Assistant or directly related experience required
Good PC skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Attention to detail
Dependable, punctual, and professional
High School diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

Prepares the HUD disclosing title/settlement fees, taxes and payoffs for closing cost and sends to processor. May include a mock CD.
Under general supervision, reviews title commitment to verify vesting and legal description.
Works on drawing loan documents, including escrow/settlement instructions, payoffs, and deeds. Orders scheduling of notary and/or Attorney.
Reviews executed documents from the notary and uploads scanned packages to the software program.
Reviews recording documents to be sent out, ensuring all originals are included with required affidavits, death certificates, and other documents.
Assists with the audit of final numbers and verification of demands, liens, and wire instructions.
Tracks lender funding to ensure monies are deposited and ready to disburse.
Works with the Audit/Disbursing Department to ensure file is disbursed.
Follows up on releases and final policy to be sent to the client.
Orders doc prep deeds to be executed at closing.
Works with loan processors, loan officers, and principals to obtain additional information and provide status updates.
Consults with title officers and/or escrow officers regarding title commitment items.
Orders beneficiary statements, demands, HOA, and judgments, including release of liens and encumbrances.
