About The Position

First American's Direct division provides comprehensive title insurance protection and professional settlement services for real estate purchases, refinances and equity loans. First American is growing in Bend, OR, and we’re looking for an Escrow Assistant to join our team in-office, five days a week. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in the details, and wants to learn the escrow business from experienced professionals. In this role, you’ll provide critical administrative and customer support throughout the escrow process, helping keep transactions moving, customers informed, and our team operating at its best. You’ll work closely with a high-producing Escrow Closer, gaining hands-on exposure to the business and building skills that can open the door to long-term career growth within First American. We’re looking for someone with energy, initiative, strong follow-through, and a genuine desire to grow. Requirements

  • Passion for helping customers while maintaining a professional and positive attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with both our internal teams and external customers
  • Problem solver with strong organizational skills, is detail oriented, a natural curiosity with an eagerness to learn
  • Thrives in contributing to a team working together to deliver beyond customer expectations
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite and ability to quickly adapt to new software applications and technologies
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of escrow-related experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the escrow process, such as opening orders, inputting closing statement information, preparing documents for closing, handling the complete disbursement and follow-up
  • Communicate regularly with customers during the escrow process flow
  • Interpret various agreements as they relate to escrow closings
  • Working with a variety of technologies to enable escrow transactions, assisting customers to ensure a phenomenal customer experience
