About The Position

The Escrow Analyst is responsible for reviewing and modifying tax, MIP/PMI, and insurance buckets, as well as researching escrow shortages and overages. This role involves creating custom audit reports, collaborating with software vendors for monthly audits, and generating overage checks for customers. The analyst will also correspond with customers to explain analysis results and address inquiries regarding payment changes and escrow requirements. Additionally, the position involves calculating initial escrow projections for accuracy and consistency, serving as a resource for customer inquiries, and documenting all audit records, checks, refunds, and customer interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and modifies tax, MIP/PMI, and insurance buckets and researches escrow shortages and overages.
  • Creates custom audit reports in Mortgage Builder (MB) and Excel.
  • Engages in collaboration efforts with software vendor support personnel in generating monthly audits.
  • Creates overage checks, matching them with batch print outs and sending them to customers monthly.
  • Corresponds with customers explaining the results of the analysis and responds to inquiries regarding payment changes and escrow requirements in an understanding and professional manner.
  • Calculates initial escrow projections to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of customer inquiries regarding the analysis process, payment changes, escrow payments, and audit timelines.
  • Documents accurate records of audits, overage checks, escrow refunds and customer dialogue.
