About The Position

Buena Park Honda is seeking an eSales Agent to respond to Internet and Phone inquiries, ensuring the dealership maximizes its profit potential on Phone and Internet sales. This role involves satisfying the transportation needs of Internet/phone generated vehicle purchasers, communicating effectively with customers via their preferred method, and selling/leasing a minimum of 10 units per month. The eSales Agent will possess thorough knowledge of all dealership products and services, understand the psychology of Internet customers to draw them into the dealership for demonstrations and to close transactions, and assist guests in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their needs. The position requires frequent checking and immediate response to emails, prompt delivery of messages to other departments, and handling all Internet sales inquiries personally. Responsibilities also include coordinating Internet promotions, ensuring dealership contact information is prominently displayed, researching auto-buying services and acting as a liaison, working with the Webmaster to update the website, taking photos of inventory, and maintaining a customer database for repeat business. A high level of commitment to guest satisfaction, knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing automotive sales, and establishing personal income goals consistent with dealership standards are essential. The role also involves attending product and sales training courses, staying updated on new products and benefits, attending sales meetings, and maintaining a safe and professional work environment. The eSales Agent must be dedicated to guaranteeing guest satisfaction, determining management, production, and quality requirements, attending Sonic meetings, maintaining a follow-up system, reporting objectives to the Sales Manager, and reviewing actions to improve time utilization and planning. Understanding business terminology, keeping abreast of technology changes, following directions, understanding work rules, accepting constructive criticism, interacting positively with others, signing a non-disclosure agreement, and assigning any developed inventions to the company are also required.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates effectively with Internet/Phone customers and prospects according to their preferred method of communication, whether by phone, by email or in person.
  • Sells/leases and delivers a minimum of 10 units per month.
  • Has thorough knowledge of all dealership products and services.
  • Understands the psychology of Internet customers and works with them accordingly to draw them into the dealership for proper vehicle demonstration and to close the transaction.
  • Assists guests in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their needs.
  • Checks emails frequently and responds to inquiries immediately. Delivers messages intended for other departments promptly. Notifies customer that their messages have been forwarded to the appropriate person for prompt attention.
  • Handles all Internet sales inquiries personally.
  • Coordinates Internet promotions.
  • Ensures that the Web site address and phone number is prominently displayed throughout the dealership, on business cards, flyers, pens and all dealership advertising.
  • Researches auto-buying services on the Internet and acts as a liaison with any services the dealership uses to promote its site or advertise.
  • Works with Webmaster to update the Web site frequently to attract new and repeat visitors.
  • Takes photos of dealership inventory for use on the dealership site.
  • Maintains an ongoing customer database to capture repeat business.
  • Exhibits high level of commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Knows and understands the federal, state and local laws which govern retail automotive sales.
  • Established personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devises a strategy to meet those goals.
