About The Position
ES Technician _ Housekeeping at Black River Health is a full-time position on the night shift (4pm - 12am). This role is essential for maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming spaces within the hospital. It involves more than just housekeeping; it's crucial for the smooth and safe operation of the hospital every day. The position is suitable for dependable, motivated individuals who enjoy hands-on work and being part of a team that makes a difference for patients, families, and staff. No prior healthcare experience is required as comprehensive training on all protocols will be provided.
Requirements
- Experience in housekeeping or similar work (laundry, cleaning, maintenance, etc.)
- Comfort using basic tools and following cleaning protocols
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to lift, move, and stay active throughout the shift
- English literacy and basic math skills
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license (may be required)

Responsibilities
- Keep patient areas spotless and safe — from exam rooms to surgical suites
- Restock supplies so staff and patients always have what they need
- Support the facility team with light maintenance, equipment checks, and simple repairs
- Help across the hospital — laundry, snow removal, waste handling, and more
- Assist with safety and security by reporting concerns and supporting staff when needed
