About The Position

The ERSEA Technician completes tasks and/or computations related to Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance (ERSEA), and the Parent, Family, Community Engagement (PFCE) service areas in accordance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS), Tlingit & Haida Head Start policy and procedures and other corresponding federal, state and local regulations. This position also safeguards accurate, complete, efficient input into database systems, including generating reports.

  • Familiarity with Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian cultures.
  • Associates degree in Business Administration or related fields.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in equivalent position.
  • Must be 21 years of age with a Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate, complete and confidential data in accordance with program requirements, with Federal, State, Local and Tlingit & Haida Policies and Procedures.
  • Establish initial child files and oversee addition of current program-related documentation in collaboration with component coordinators.
  • Follow Tlingit & Haida attendance protocols, ensuring proper documentation while promoting regular attendance for families.
  • Monitor enrollment vacancies and waitlist. Communicate with families regarding missing documentation and enrollment status.
  • Support recruitment through community outreach, events, and partnership.
  • Input and monitor family data, engagement activities and outcomes in specialized systems like ChildPlus.
  • Collect, aggregate and analyze data to support family progress and strengthen efforts to provide quality services for children and families.
  • Generate reports and summaries for program staff and management to monitor family partnership progress.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of data submitted by family workers by performing periodic audits of program files.
  • Maintaining "master lists" of community partners (food banks, clinics, shelters) within the database for quick referral generation.
  • Assist the Head Start Data Team.
  • Assist with front office duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
