The incumbent will manage the Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance ( ERSEA ) processes that are critical to determining those children who qualify for Early Head Start services and justifies how the program spends Early Head Start grant dollars. This will be achieved as the ERSEA Specialist confirms family qualifications, and, once selected and enrolled, tracks and monitors participation in program services. In order to assess compliance in this area, the ERSEA Specialist will conduct an analysis of the program’s ERSEA policies and procedures and assess the level of implementation throughout the program including transition services. The ERSEA Specialist will also collaborate with the Lead Agency managing the coordinated enrollment system for New Orleans publicly funded childcare programs. This includes filling program vacancies as well as transition activities as children become eligible for preschool programming. The LSUHSC Early Head Start Grant is administered in conjunction with family eligibility in the Child Care Assistance program. The ERSEA Specialist will maintain a positive relationship with the Louisiana Department of Education and assist families to navigate services.
