About The Position

Position will support Lake & Marion county GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The ERSEA & Outreach Coordinator is responsible for supporting centers in maintaining an average attendance rate of 90% and meeting the required number of home visits; ensuring compliance with Non-Federal Match (NFM) requirements; establishing community partnerships; and assisting with monitoring waitlists and developing recruitment plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with related experience preferred (A comparable amount of training, education or experience can be substituted for minimum qualifications.)
  • Knowledge of OHS ERSEA and NFM performance standards.

  • Ability to work with other employees and the public in a tactful and diplomatic manner
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and emotional maturity in crisis and in normal situations
  • Ability to perform with little direct supervision
  • Knowledge of applicable safety and abuse-reporting procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products at an intermediate to advanced level
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Ability to plan and organize work as well as maintain records and prepare reports
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in fast-paced environment
  • Valid Driver’s License with proof of automobile coverage
  • Satisfactory Driving Record (as outlined in Vehicle Driving Policy)
  • Completion of 15 hours of in-service/professional development training hours each fiscal year (July-June)
  • Requires prolonged sitting with some bending, stooping, and stretching, and eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, photocopier, calculator and other of??ice equipment.
  • Ability to reach, lift, bend knees, stoop, push or pull items weighing 25 lbs. or less
  • Requires a normal range of hearing and eyesight to communicate with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Family Advocates and center staff in achieving and maintaining an average attendance rate of 90%.
  • Provide ongoing monitoring and technical assistance to support the development and implementation of high-quality, effective attendance support plans.
  • Monitor compliance with the required number of home visits and socializations, providing follow-up and technical assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with Family Advocates and center staff to design and implement engaging, interactive family engagement activities that promote increased parent participation.
  • Work with the Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator, home-based staff, and center staff to implement a comprehensive plan to generate Non-Federal Match (NFM) contributions and ensure compliance with all related regulations.
  • Partner with the Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator, home-based staff, and center staff to review, calculate, and submit accurate and timely NFM documentation each month.
  • Provide support to centers and home visitors who are not meeting their monthly NFM goals by collaborating on the development and implementation of effective improvement plans.
  • Support the planning and coordination of annual events, holiday outreach initiatives, community partnership efforts, and volunteer recruitment and engagement across Head Start and Early Head Start programs.
  • Serve as a liaison between community organizations and ECS to strengthen partnerships and connect families with valuable resources.
  • Receive, inventory, and distribute donations at the designated central office in a secure and organized manner.
  • Collaborate with Child Care Resource & Referral to obtain referrals of potentially eligible children and families for program enrollment.
  • Monitor waitlists for Head Start programs.
  • For centers and home visitors with a waitlist below 10%, follow up with staff to support the development of a robust recruitment plan.
  • Assist with coordinating and communicating with the Policy Council as needed.
