About The Position

Wieland is hiring an ERP Solution Architect. This position will define and guide the architecture of enterprise resource planning and related business systems. This role partners with business and technology teams to translate strategic needs into secure, scalable, integrated, and supportable solutions while establishing technical standards and roadmaps for current and future capabilities. This role is located in Granite City and is open to both onsite and hybrid candidates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Seven or more years of progressive experience in enterprise applications, ERP systems, solution architecture, software development, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and modernizing business-critical applications and integrated enterprise solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, APIs, integration patterns, data architecture, security, identity and access management, and application infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of source control, CI/CD, automated testing, cloud and on-premises environments, monitoring, backup, recovery, and controlled release practices.
  • Ability to evaluate complex problems, explain tradeoffs, document decisions, mentor others, and influence cross-functional teams; ERP or manufacturing-systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain current-state, future-state, and transition architectures for ERP and connected business applications.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into practical solution designs and technical roadmaps.
  • Establish architecture standards for applications, data, integrations, security, environments, testing, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
  • Design and govern integrations among ERP platforms, databases, cloud services, reporting tools, and third-party applications.
  • Evaluate technology options and recommend solutions based on business value, scalability, security, cost, risk, and supportability.
  • Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance to developers, administrators, project teams, vendors, and business partners.
  • Support modernization, implementation, upgrade, migration, and continuous-improvement initiatives from design through stabilization.
  • Guide resolution of complex technical issues, maintain architecture documentation and roadmaps, and promote knowledge sharing and continuity.
