About The Position

The ERP Manager will lead and oversee the strategy, support, and ongoing improvement of the company's enterprise resource planning ecosystem, including multiple instances of Epicor Prophet 21, one instance of NetSuite, and multiple integrated software platforms. This role will manage a distributed team responsible for ERP administration, configuration, integration, and business support across an industrial distribution environment operating in multiple locations across nine countries. This role is a blend of technical / and hands on, while working closely with various business units as well as external vendors. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in managing complex ERP environments involving both on-premises and cloud platforms, with a strong focus on modernization, standardization, scalability, and process optimization. A key initiative of this position is to guide the transition of legacy on-premises systems toward cloud-based solutions and modern integration architectures.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience supporting and managing ERP systems.
  • Experience managing multiple ERP platforms, ideally Prophet 21 and NetSuite or similar.
  • Strong background in hybrid IT environments including both cloud and on-prem solutions.
  • Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in a distributed workforce.
  • Experience supporting large enterprise or multi-location organizations.
  • Strong understanding of ERP integrations, APIs, middleware, SQL, and data governance.

  • Experience leading ERP migrations or modernization projects (cloud adoption, re-platforming, conversions, or consolidations).
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage ERP support teams, including analysts, administrators, developers, and external vendor partners.
  • Oversee day-to-day operation, performance, and stability of multiple Prophet 21 environments, NetSuite, and connected business applications.
  • Develop and execute a roadmap to modernize legacy on-premises ERP environments and transition appropriate components to cloud-first platforms.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders to assess requirements, prioritize enhancements, ensure data integrity, and align systems with business strategy.
  • Manage and optimize integrations between ERP systems and third-party platforms, including EDI, CRM, WMS, eCommerce, business intelligence, and automation solutions.
  • Establish and enforce ERP governance standards, including documentation, configuration control, testing, release management, and user access.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to support standardization across global business units while accommodating regional operational needs.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships and oversee contract management, licensing, renewals, and escalated support.
  • Develop KPIs and reporting to measure ERP performance, system usage, support workload, and ROI of technology enhancements.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, performance management, and professional development for ERP team members.
  • Ensure ERP environments meet cybersecurity policies, compliance requirements, backup standards, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • May be modified from time to time.
