About The Position

PRIMEdge Inc, a private, global, growing portfolio of companies offers an exciting opportunity with a fast-growing company. We seek a self-motivated, detail oriented, problem solver, with strong organizational skills to serve as ERP Upgrade Manager to drive our Upgrade to a new version. The ERP in question is called IFS. The IFS Upgrade Manager role is a vital position within the Company, as indicated by the fact the successful candidate will be working directly with the Company President. System Specialist will be responsible for leading a system Implementation / Upgrade for a global group of companies.

Requirements

  • Degree in IT, Computers, System Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with previous upgrades/implementations/re-implementations is required
  • Experience with IFS is helpful but not required
  • 3-5 years’ experience as System Specialist or Administrator
  • Strong communication as well as organizational skill
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage your own time
  • Record-keeping and file proficiency
  • Since this position involves security, candidates must successfully pass a background check

Responsibilities

  • Lead the approaching upgrade to a new version of IFS, including configuration, quality assurance and user acceptance testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of IFS and other systems.
  • Troubleshoot ERP errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
  • Provide documentation for procedures and/or planning and implementing ongoing IFS upgrades.
  • Perform user setup, including system access and associated administrative functions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IFS software, hardware, user access or other problems.
  • Manage IFS consultants/support vendors to ensure systems run efficiently and smoothly.
  • Installation, configuration, testing, and maintaining of system regular system updates (one or two per year).
  • Evaluate optimal location for hosting ERP, including determination of capacity, storage planning, and database performance.
  • Prepare system support documentation for ERP, enabling others to perform necessary tasks by referencing the manual.
  • Lead continual user development.
  • Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems.
  • Working with outside IT service, maintain stable and consistent connectivity across all network computers and monitor disaster recovery procedures.
  • Modify security files and applications as able and necessary to provide specialized access, allow new software to be installed or integrated, or correct errors.
  • The successful candidate will work directly with Company President on these critical projects.
