About The Position

Metromont LLC, a leader in the construction industry for nearly a century, is seeking to add an Erection Leadman to their dynamic team. Requirements

  • Able to read a ruler and tape measure
  • Qualified to operate aerial lifts
  • Able to learn to read drawing plans
  • Able to work at heights above 100’ or more
  • Able to follow instructions with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrates good judgment

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in construction preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for properly guiding, placement, and alignment of precast/prestressed concrete units.
  • Responsible for assuring all bearing pads are in place and properly aligned.
  • Responsible for moving and maintaining controlled access zone warning lines and equipment.
  • Responsible for properly installing temporary bracing poles or bracing cable as required by precast engineer.
  • Must be qualified in the use of proper visual crane hand signals and be able to communicate concise voice commands by two-way radio.
  • Read and follow plans, material lists, and guidelines and applies necessary timelines.
  • Must have working knowledge of grade level & transit instruments and calculating elevations.
  • Must be qualified to operate aerial lifts, and skid-loaders.
  • Must have knowledge of precast products and be able to erect precast units within PCI tolerances.
  • Assist with the supervision of a crew of up to 10 employees.
  • Organizes, supervises, leads, and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames.
  • Enforces all company safety policies and procedures and safety requirements, including crewmember discipline and documentation.
  • Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
