ER Veterinary Technician/Assistant (Locum)

The Role As a Credentialed Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant with 3+ years Emergency experience, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care. You’ll work closely with our veterinarians to support a variety of medical procedures while helping guide clients through their pet’s care with confidence and compassion. Requirements
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant
- 3+ years Emergency experience
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional nursing care to emergency patients.
- Collaborate closely with ER Doctors and fellow technicians.
- Perform triage assessments and assist with patient stabilization.
- Utilize advanced technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, diagnostic imaging, laboratory diagnostics, oxygen therapy, and blood transfusion support.
- Monitor hospitalized and ICU patients, recognizing subtle changes in patient status and communicating findings to the medical team.
- Assist with emergency procedures and advanced treatments.
- Educate clients and provide clear discharge instructions.
- Help create a positive, collaborative environment focused on outstanding patient care.
