Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Triage and evaluate small animal patients presenting with emergency and urgent conditions.
  • Diagnose and manage critical, complex, and walk-in cases.
  • Develop appropriate treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
  • Perform emergency procedures and provide stabilization and ongoing care.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment when appropriate.
  • Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, costs, and patient progress.
  • Coordinate case transfers and collaborate with specialty teams when additional expertise is required.
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
  • Develop positive relationships with referring veterinarians and members of the veterinary community.
  • Work collaboratively with technicians, assistants, specialists, and other medical staff.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development.
  • Contribute to a positive, patient-focused clinical environment.
