About The Position

Carroll County Memorial Hospital’s role is to improve the health and well-being of the residents and visitors to Carroll County and surrounding counties, by providing quality, compassionate, cost effective and convenient health care through community leadership and in collaboration with other healthcare organizations which serve our communities. This is an hourly PRN position where employees must work a minimum of 1 shift every 6 weeks. PRN employees will be expected to work one major holiday or one defined critical staffing day.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 6 months related experience required
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
• Must be able to work independently and pay attention to accuracy and detail
• Able to follow verbal instructions
• Read/comprehend written instructions

Responsibilities

• Assist the Patient Care Team in providing patient care as needed
• Communicates, in a timely manner, to the appropriate person any information received or observed that may affect patient care
• Performs treatment and procedures within the guidelines set forth by the Patient Care Policy Manual and Standards of Care
• Assist nurse with readying patients for exam to include, but not limited to: obtaining vital signs, pulse ox, height, weight, and head circumference as needed
• Empties straight urinary drainage bags, ostomy bags, drainage systems and suction containers
• Performs other duties as assigned
