About The Position
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a casual ER Tech to assist in providing basic patient care activities for which the employee has been prepared, as well as non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
Requirements
- Certification from an approved phlebotomy training program required, with the exception of EMT.
- Certification must be valid and current.
- National certification for EMT valid and current or higher with Phlebotomy training via SMMC within 6 months.
- Experience in phlebotomy required.
- Employees practicing in this role more than 10 years at SMMC are exempt from certification requirements.
- Verbal ability required to communicate with patients and understand instructions received from nursing staff.
- Manual dexterity required to use hands easily skillfully while aiding patients.
- BLS required.
