Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior patient registration, admitting, or revenue cycle experience required
• Knowledge of insurance verification, patient demographics, and hospital registration processes
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency department environment
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Familiarity with HIPAA, EMTALA, and patient confidentiality requirements

Nice To Haves

• associate degree preferred
• Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise ER Registration Clerks and registration activities.
• Ensure accurate patient demographic, insurance, and financial information is collected.
• Monitor registration quality, productivity, and customer service standards.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Resolve registration issues, patient concerns, and workflow challenges.
• Support compliance with EMTALA, HIPAA, and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with nursing, clinical teams, billing, and revenue cycle departments.
• Review errors, denials, and trends to identify training opportunities.
• Serve as a resource for staff during high-volume or complex situations.
