ER Nurse - PRN
About The Position
Exceptional Healthcare is seeking experienced PRN Emergency Room Nurses for their new community hospital in Farmington, New Mexico. This role offers PRN flexibility, allowing nurses to make a critical impact on their own schedule. The facility emphasizes comfortable patient ratios, greater autonomy, closer team alignment, opportunities for clinical leadership, cross-training, quicker throughput processes, less administrative friction, and direct communication with leadership. It is a modern standalone facility with full-spectrum Med Lab, Radiology, and Pharmacy support, and in-house Respiratory Therapist with 24-hour coverage.
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited nursing program
- 3-5 years Emergency Room experience
- Current RN license with BLS, ACLS & PALS certifications
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Experience with EHR documentation (EPOWERdoc preferred)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
- Triage patients safely and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Perform comprehensive assessments for patients of all ages
- Communicate effectively with physicians about patient status
- Administer medications and interpret diagnostic results
- Monitor hemodynamic status and identify cardiac dysrhythmias
- Maintain accurate documentation and provide patient education
