About The Position
Jefferies is seeking an experienced vice president to help assist in covering the clean energy sector. This role involves building and maintaining detailed company models, staying updated on company news and filings, writing research reports, and communicating with sales and clients. The position also requires maintaining relationships with company Investor Relations (IR) teams.
Requirements
- 6+ years experience covering clean energy on the sell-side, buy-side, banking or consulting.
- Experienced in FactSet and/or Bloomberg; knowledge of industry-specific databases also helpful.
- Advanced Excel modeling and writing skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting, corporate finance and energy-specific terminology/concepts
Nice To Haves
- CFA or progression towards CFA preferred
- FINRA Series 63, 86 and 87 preferred (required within 5 months of hire)
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain detailed company models
- Stay on top of company news, track filings, listen to conference calls
- Write first look notes, contribute to longer thematic reports, and company initiations
- Field questions and communicate with sales and/or clients
- Maintain relationships with company IR teams.
