About The Position
We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the following opportunity in our Toronto office. Equity Research & Trading – Director. As an integral member of the team, you will bring experience with equity diligence, analysis of financial statements/disclosure, financial modeling and valuation. Experience or interest in asset allocation, portfolio management, trading and risk management. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. Strong computer skills; including extensive experience with Microsoft Office and Bloomberg. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work within a team environment. Proven ability to organize and complete work within tight deadlines.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in equity portfolio management or research.
- Bachelor/BBA/BCom or related degree program with Finance or Economic concentration.
- Strong computer skills; including extensive experience with Microsoft Office and Bloomberg.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to work within a team environment.
- Proven ability to organize and complete work within within tight deadlines.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with coding languages is an asset.
- CFA degree is an asset.
- Experience or interest in asset allocation, portfolio management, trading and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and communicate equity research and analysis, conduct financial modeling, meet with corporate management teams and equity research analysts.
- Prepare and communicate macro/thematic research and analysis.
- Actively trade North American equities (C$ and US$).
- Evaluate new sectors, geographies and equity trading strategies.
- Assist in asset allocation and equity portfolio management decision-making.
- Assist in portfolio-related reports and presentations for management.
- Assist in investor relations-related responsibilities - industry and competitor analysis, sell-side analyst and investor queries, presentations, etc.
Benefits
- The expected salary in this position is within the range of $100,000 – 150,000 / year.
