About The Position

Wolfe Research is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join its NY Based Extel-ranked Internet Team. They will report to the Senior Analyst and will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the franchise including modeling, note writing, and helping to create differentiated research analyses. As they develop, responsibilities will expand to include communicating with clients and sales/traders, as well as participating in the creative process. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a great deal of critical thinking. Strong writing, modeling, Excel, and PowerPoint skills required. Experience in equity research, investment banking, public accounting, consulting or in the industry is preferred.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in sell-side research (preferably on a TMT team), on the buy-side, investment banking, public accounting, consulting or industry experience.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university, concentration in Finance, Accounting, Math, or Statistics preferred.
• Advanced understanding of financial modeling, experience building and maintaining 3-statement models.
• Fully licensed with Series 7, 63, 86 & 87 preferred or expected to be completed within the first 6 months.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Eager to work in a fast-paced environment both independently and collaboratively.
• Demonstrated academic ability with a minimum 3.5 GPA.
• Comfortable working 10+ hour workdays and some weekends.

Nice To Haves

• MBA, CPA, or CFA a plus.
• Bloomberg and/or FactSet skills helpful.
• Advanced Excel (macros, pivot tables, conditional formatting, short cuts).
• Statistics (regression, variance, covariance, and correlations).
• Mastery of Excel functions: shortcuts, developing complex logic formulas, mastery of reference formulas, ability to integrate graphics/data tables, formatting, and basic programming.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in all aspects of the franchise including modeling, note writing, and helping to create differentiated research analyses.
• Communicating with clients and sales/traders.
• Participating in the creative process.
• Drafting reports/notes on relevant investment themes, events, and breaking news.
• Working with large data sets in Excel/Access.
• Sourcing and processing information independently.
• Building and updating financial and valuation models for the companies covered.
• Developing complex logic formulas in Excel.
• Integrating graphics/data tables in Excel.
• Following the stock market and developing industry themes.
